prosper thy neighbour

And so I read about the 'Prosper thy Neighbour' thingy. I have been thinking about this for the longest time. And I am still thinking. Prosper or get on, is what I feel comfortable using. How do you get on with your neighbour?
I think ceremonies give a huge path for us to prosper our neighbour. Ceremony has always been the number 1 factor that maintains the bond in the neighbourhood. You will gather and catching up with each others' life and whatnots.
I love weddings, all the jamuan raya and others because I get to sit and chat with my neighbours for long hours. FYI, I have been living here since 1990 and my family is one of the earliest batch. So we are the ol' timer. Hehe.
We were so close as children. We would all play together for any games that we could think of at Jaja's and laugh our lungs out. It was fun. And as we go through certain transition, we did not even bother to catch up with each others, but we worry too much about ourselves.
And not so long ago, we reconcile. Not that we had a fight or something, but the gap has gotten so big that I think reconcilation is the best word at the moment to describe the together-ness. We would talk and talk and laugh without bothering about others, until now :).
But really, how many of you get along with all of your neighbours? I doubt it though. I am cool with certain neighbours, but certain other neighbours are such a pain in the ass that I'd rather see once in a lifetime. Why?
I have a married couple that argues too much, using too harsh words, and a lot of 'physical arguments'. Get it? Screaming their lungs out at each other, breathe wrath or whatever, throwing things just to let the anger lessen and lots more.
Now, will you respect that kind of neighbour? I am sorry if I am not portraying a good model for a muslim, but really, I can't help it but to hate them. Hate is a strong word, and when I am actually using it, it is serious.
I can't respect someone who fails to respect everyone but their own pride. Please. Spare me that.
I have neighbour that 'Mind your own f-cking business, losers'. Very harsh and isolated. Neighbours that can't fit in in a group. Neighbours that pretend to be nice but actually the devil and lots more. No, I am not trying to tell bad things about my neighbours, but the truth.
I have weird neighbours and super duper cool neighbours!
I try to respect everyone, but once you crosses the line, there is no turning back. I wonder how can that certain neighbour live without bothering about others except their own family. How eh? Selalu terfikir. Everytime there is a kenduri, they will be gone the day before the kenduri, or will not turn up for the meeting and stuff. I winder. I think that is weird. I mean, how can someone do that while he or she is actually living in a community. Mesti susah bile hidup tak bercampur dengan orang.

When my father passed away, the neighbours voluntarily lent helping hands without us having to ask for it. And I am thankful for that. Thanks to the bond that we have created years ago, and the bond continues to grow stronger. Alhamdulillah. See, once you do good to others, they will pay you back, in whatever ways and in whatever forms atas kuasa Allah. Allah tu adil kan? :)

With weddings and kenduris going on, I think I get more closer to the used-to-be-close-neighbours. Hehehe. And I think it is fun.

Not just attending weddings and kenduris give you the chance to eat all you want, but you will learn something. Like during wedding, so far I have learned about the aturcara, arrangements and stuff. Kalau ade orang meninggal pon I know few things, like what to do with the kapur barus, the preparations and etcetera. See, it is not so bad mingling with your neighbours. ahh, I so can't wait for August :)

Enough with the crap and yip yapping. Just trying to share a piece of my mind with the world. :D

I am quite glad for the new semester, to see some people and to experience different new things. But I would not want to see some people, those talam 2 muka-angelic-my-ass people. Malas betul. But I think I am actually looking forward to Abang's wedding the most and it is the only highlight of first semester. Hahahaha. Sangat lame, I know.

I'll post something better later, for the time being I'll keep 'em to myself. Ye lahhh. Kang ade plak orang review pasal post aku kat blog die sbb die takde bende nak cerita. I'll give you the chance to mock me later, not now. Because I am in a happy mood! :D
